The Student Board Member Experience

As the first year of required student representation on school boards nears its end, we will hear from several student board members about their interactions and perceptions serving on their respective boards. While boards have varying levels of experience with students serving at the board level, everyone has something important to contribute.  We're looking for a respectful and constructive conversation about everyone's experience.

The Use of Generative AI in Education

Generative AI is an exciting and promising tool for school districts.  This presentation is specifically designed for school board members.  We will explore the policy, legal, learning, and instructional implications of generative AI. 

Pondering the power and promise of this new technology will be fostered through demonstrations of employing AI to address intellectual tasks that board members, teachers, and students engage in during a typical week in a school district. 
Following the demonstrations, there will be an opportunity for discussion.
